CAFETERIA NEW YORK
Cafeteria
Restaurant of New York

Cafeteria,
an avant-garde Americana restaurant sizzling in popularity in Manhattan, has
signed a long-term lease (
10-year lease wtih a 10-year option)
for space on the ground floor of an art deco-style building undergoing renovation
on South Beach.
The
arrival of the eatery sets the table for an evolving 24-hours identity of
Lincoln Road.
The
2,000-square-foot Cafeteria at seventh Avenue and 17th street in Chelsea,
whose investors include Latin fashion designer Victor Alfaro, has taken more
than 7,000 square feet in the Quittner Building across Lincoln Road Theatre
and Sony Building at Pennsylvania Avenue.
"Whith
the size we're doing, we want to be everybody's restaurant", said Mark
Amadei, a co-owner whose NewYork restaurant work has shifted time way from
his job as a real estate broker for Sotheby's. "The locals are the key.
What we're trying to do is, first of all, we want to be a part of the community,
just like we are in New York. We want to be around. The community is everything
and that's what's going to keep you in business."
"We want to be a Miami
restaurant, a Miami classic."

Business Journal South Florida - D. Adlerstein )
